Job Description: |
Excavation of 15,000 feet of 16 inch FBE coated pipe to remove the inadequate pipe protective wrap (shielding, cathodic protection) and replace with Tuff-N-Nuff protective wrap. |
Problem: |
15,000 feet of pipeline being shielded from the cathodic protection current. Due to the "non-porous" design of the present rockshield, there is a concern that water is being trapped against the pipe and could cause damage to the FBE coating. |
Remedy: |
Rewrap with 3/8" x 54" x 30ft yellow, flexible, PVC Tuff-N-Nuff protective wrap. |
